I am primarily a poetry and short fiction writer, though I am currently trying my hand at writing longer fiction. Maybe an epic someday.

Just something I've wondered, would a doorstopper have the same effect on a reader, if it were written as interconnected short stories? I feel like a lot of the complaints are because of novels like War And Peace.

Why didn't they come out with virtual reality back in PS2 was new. It's not like they didn't have the technology with all those first person games. I mean only OK is better than no VR.

I seriously hope scrazzle stays like this. God knows, I sure need the quiet. To many people on twitter liking to make it their business what you write about by giving uneeded writing advice without regard to individual skill.

Ufology is the only topic in the world, where merely the act of investigation puts you at the mercy of noisy negatives and debunkers. You'll find more people that accept 9/11 was an inside job than Majestic-12.

That's not saying every novel has the right to be seen, but at least because it's a novel some agent will at least look at it. Novellas and short stories get tossed right to be the recycle bin.

Blarrrgh, narrrrgh, short fiction is teh evils. Narrrgh Harrrrgh. But seriously people, give short fiction and novellas a break. Some people (like myself) can't write novels. We deserve as much right to be seen as novels.

Even when you unfollow a bunch of people over promoting their work, Twitter is still a spam folder in a massive group email. It's like I'm not getting any kind of breaks at all.

I get the merits of self-publishing, I certainly do it for my poetry and verse. But let's be honest here. No cherry picking individuals, I know as an author I'm definitely not my best representative. But don't think calling me a name is going to want me to buy your book.

Listen ok? None of us care whether your a republican or a democrat. I'm an independent myself. But you don't find me posting politically inflammatory posts on social networks just to state my opinion. I've had to become reclusive even by online standards because of that shit.

Why did the author not write their auto-bio? Because twitter feeds did it for them. #cynical

I'm beginning to wonder if framing my novella in the form of multiple flash fiction stories might be doing more harm than good. For anyone who has ever wrote it, flash fiction technique is even more sparing than even short fiction. I may need to rewrite as a regular short fiction collection.

I'm not sure what I would have done if I had not decided to write picture books. I was this close to giving up, and primarily writing poetry. I'm still sort of working out of that rut, as poetry was what I grew up writing. It was just a few times I wrote short stories. My one novel is this anomaly.

Needless to say, I'm going to be doing most of my shopping in the few brick and mortar stores that are left. I don't have the time for such ignoramus reviews. I can look at a real life excerpt, and get a better idea of what's in the book.

So I found this review by Tomi Ungere, where there was this single two star review. But it was written by someone where the reviews only purpose was basically to inflate the reviewers ego. They mentioned nothing about the $22 price tag. We need to go back to New York Reviews.

A lot of people formulate their writing advice based on what specific writer is successful at doing. I don't care about being any other writer besides myself, I want to know how I can improve what I got.

Still working on my fiction, though I've been in sort of a poetry funk. Writing nothing but poetry over the last four weeks or so. (Well I've been doing short fiction, but nothing like the 7,000 word near novelettes.) I've noticed that the longer the work is, the longer the break after it's done.

I'm thinking of eventually permanently settling here. There is more of a character count, and so it's going to be easier to be clear about what my point is that I'm trying to make.

It's not going to kill you if I'm a Dem, and your an anti-abortion conservative. 2/2

Honestly I'll just use scrazzle to say what I want. I'm really tired of having to censor myself and not say exactly what I want on twitter. If one is naturally an introvert, why should someone who has no intention of not being obscure so whatever the hell they want. 1/2

Hey at least scrazzle is quieter, and not filled with stupid political bullshit.

And no I won't be following indie author network on here. Got to many ad floods on twitter as it is.

This might be my new #amwriting hot spot. Really digging the higher character limit.
