I'm a native Vermonter, currently living in New Hampshire. That's the USA, of course. As you can see from the photo, I'm well seasoned. I'm a writer, a great-grandfather, and a generally nice guy. In the past I've worked as a carpenter, a truck driver, a bus driver, a wine sales person, I've written a weekly newspaper column for several years and wrote a three act play "As Fair As You Were" which was successfully produced in the spring of 2009. GRANTS FERRY is my first novel.

Here in New England it's still bitter cold. Wind is blowing to beat hell and most everything is still covered with snow. When it finally breaks, though, we should really get to enjoy mud season.

Here in New England, winter just doesn't want to let go. Lawn still covered with snow, temperatures barely above freezing, and icy spot lurking everywhere. It's time to move on.

And it's been a long, annoying winter here. Sugar makers are having a slow time of it this year. Too cold for the sap to run. And there are no spring flowers, I'll tell you.

Okay. Finally figured it out. First post. I'm a writer, living in New England. My novel is GRANTS FERRY, a pleasant mix of humor, cruelty, tenderness, and violence. If you're curious about New England, this is a good place to start. Get it here:
